Tank you very much for your response; the new project appears to
be exactly what I am looking for....a way to build s390x z/Linux
systems with a minimal amount of stuff in it. <br>

Aboriginal Linux got restarted from scratch (see the last news entry on
the main website, <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://landley.net/aboriginal">https://landley.net/aboriginal</a>). The new project
replacing it is mkroot:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/landley/mkroot">https://github.com/landley/mkroot</a>
And that supports s390x already. Happy to hear feedback about whether or
not it does what you need.
