I added your first pass at chown/chmod/the other chthing, and the
aboriginal linux build broke saying "config.status" wasn't executable.
This kinda pointed out to me that my aboriginal more/record-commands.sh
logging infrastructure isn't quite right, so I'm fixing that.

That was yesterday's hour, anyway...

I really do look forward to catching up on all this.  It looks like
great code, I'm just sorry _my_ time's been so sparse recently.
(Another weekend coming up...)
