This looks reasonably standalone so I'll grab it out of order.

I'm implementing
http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9699919799/utilities/uniq.html and
then only adding the stuff that's actually used.  I'm pretty happy not
having -D if nothing breaks without it.

Testing it in the aboriginal build now...
