[Toybox] generic editor code

People are wanting to use this editor of mine, but are waiting on me to
implement more of the basic editing stuff like search and replace.  But
I'm waiting to see if this time around, I've supplied you with a small
enough chunk for you to digest, so I can feed you more small chunks in
the future.  Eventually building up to the big slab of code I sent last
time, and then I can continue with adding features like search and
replace.
