If somebody wanted to offer my employer a contract to make toybox my
$DAYJOB I could get that in the next release. Heck, there's a month and
change left, I could probably promote dd, implement grep --color, maybe
cleanup and promote tar, do gzip compression side and the zip plumbing,
finish getconf (which has been sitting half-done in my tree for EIGHT
MONTHS now, https://landley.net/notes-2017.html#04-03-2017), mount by
uuid, losetup -A to set the autodelete flag, cp --parents, pidof -x, wc
-C to measure column widths, the 64 bit cpio extensions (and in
initramfs, and xattrs), follow up on that kernel patch to make non-root
ping useful, fix your ps -T bug, properly writeup the dozen accumulated
"tofaq.txt" entries for the faq, switch ls back to 2 space padding
(because trailing utf8 combining characters ala
tests/files/utf8/test1.txt can eat one space), implement blkdiscard, fix
sed //q (it should repeat previous regex and complain when there's
none), implement xsendfile_sparse(), figure out why itop shows insane
swap values...

But giving toybox all my _spare_time, I'm not even managing to reply to
email the same day at the moment. Sorry about that.

Rob

P.S. I'm hugely grateful to my patreon supporters, but my mortgage is
ten times what that brings in. And work's been "every moment you can
spare and more" for quite a while; we're way understaffed. Did you know
HP spent ten years trying to make GPS work and eventually gave up? Ours
is getting 5-satellite fixes and we're far enough along debugging the
corner cases they're mumbling about teaching me VHDL to help with the
ASIC tapeout next month...

P.P.S. FYI the busybox commands mkroot still uses are at
