I forward-ported four of my kernel patches into a repo against 6.1 and pushed them to https://github.com/landley/linux/commits/mkroot-6.1 FYI. Those let me remove "gcc" and "bc" from the kernel build $PATH. (The kernel uses "cc" instead and autodetects whether that points to gcc or llvm.) Rob
