Aboriginal Linux got restarted from scratch (see the last news entry on
the main website, https://landley.net/aboriginal). The new project
replacing it is mkroot:

  https://github.com/landley/mkroot

And that supports s390x already. Happy to hear feedback about whether or
not it does what you need.
