It's built against musl-libc using https://github.com/richfelker/musl-cross-make
as built by
https://github.com/landley/toybox/blob/master/scripts/mcm-buildall.sh

There are prebuilt musl-cross-make binaries at http://musl.cc/#binaries which
should be reasonably close to what I use. (They're maintained by Thalheim on the
#toybox freenode channel. He started with my build script a year or two back,
and then did his own development on top of that.)
