You can compile strace for ARM using a cross-compiler
or a native compiler for ARM.
For example, Aboriginal Linux provides qemu-runnable filesystem images
with compiler, kernel and other misc stuff, under which you can build
strace.
Please read strace/qemu_multiarch_testing/README.
